The Mustangs football team competes in District 10-3A, Division II in Region III. Chisum is joined by Daingerfield, DeKalb, Hooks, Paul Pewitt, Prairiland, and Redwater. Darren Pevey began his fifth year at the helm of the Mustang football program. Pevey helped guide Chisum to the playoffs in 2018 to help break an 11-year postseason drought.
