Tiger Woods back home recovering from horrific car accident
After sustaining several serious leg injuries in a horrific car accident in Los Angeles last month, renowned pro golfer Tiger Woods is back at his house in Florida as he continues his recovery. Woods, 45, suffered multiple leg injuries after he was involved in a single-vehicle roll-over collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes that required a full day of surgery.
In a statement to Golfers’ Digest on Tuesday, Woods said, “Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery. I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks,” Woods said in a statement to Golf Digest on Tuesday. “Thank you to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses, and staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. You have all taken such great care of me and I cannot thank you enough. I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day.”
Authorities in Los Angeles are continuing to search for answers and said the investigation is still ongoing. Woods is a 15-time Major champion in his pro golfing career, and he overcame injuries to win his last major, the 2019 Masters. For more sports and outdoor coverage, click here.
