Former NBA player Delonte West working at drug rehab he previously attended
After Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban helped him get his life back on track, former NBA player Delonte West is no longer homeless and is now employed at the drug rehabilitation center he was previously admitted to in Florida. West was treated at the Rebound therapy center in Florida after Cuban picked West up from a gas station in September when photos of West attempting to panhandle on a highway intersection began to circulate.
In addition to admitting West to rehab, Cuban helped the former NBA veteran reconnect with his mother. Cuban has led the charge amongst several others in trying to help rehabilitate West, 37, who suffers from bipolar disorder.
During his eight-year NBA career, West averaged 9.7 points and 3.6 assists per game in separate stints with the Boston Celtics, Seattle Supersonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks, where he last played during the 2011-12 season. For more sports coverage, click here.
