NL’s Fitzgerald receives Dave Campbell’s connector award; school could win $2.5K

On Monday, North Lamar Independent School District announced on Facebook that athletic secretary Nicole Fitzgerald was a recipient of the Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Suddenlink Community Connector Award. As a result, NLISD received $250 and could obtain $2,500 if North Lamar High School wins the Community Connection School of the Year Award in an online poll. The poll will remain open from now until Friday, Jan. 22. Voters can vote on the poll as many times as they want until it closes.

Fitzgerald is representing North Lamar in the contest and is going up against nine others from Texas-based high schools. Craig Kent of Cisco HS, Joe Thompson of Tyler HS, Larry Hall of Midland Lee HS, the Breakfast of Champions Leaders of Whitehouse HS, Chelsea Frashure of College Station HS, Tammy Coffin of Weiss HS, Jerrod Wittman of Georgetown HS, Don Muhlbach of Lufkin HS, and Eric Manto of Prosper HS are the other nominees in the competition.
