The Patriots football team competes in District 10-3A, Division II in Region III. Prairiland is joined by Chisum, Daingerfield, DeKalb, Hooks, Paul Pewitt, and Redwater. Heath Blalock enters his first year as the Patriots’ head football coach. Previously, Blalock coached at Class 4A Waxahachie Life. Prairiland had its best start in half of a decade in opening the 2020 season at 3-1.
